Where is the adjustment and how do I release the tension from the serpertine belt tensionar to replace the belt? Must I have a special tool to complete this simple task? I am an OLD retired master mechanic and ASSumed this was a 5 minute job. haha!! Thanks ZIPPO74

See the 19mm bolt head in on tensioner? ratchet-19mm socket turn counterclock to release tension

first attempt failed!! After backing off the 17mm bolt head more or less 1/2 inch,no belt tension was released. Is it necessary to remove the bolt completlely?

After looking at belt routing turn bolt clockwise. Not necessary to remove any bolts spring loaded
