Every time i try and put the car into 5th gear it spits it right back out. My mechanic told me I needed a new transmission. I thought if you changed the clutch and flywheel it would be fine. Do I really need a new transmission?

Hi hatiansaint123,

Thank you for the donation.

Fault lies in the 5th speed gear mechanism and replacing the clutch would not solve the problem.

You either need to repair the 5th gear or replace the transmission.
