My 2002 Toyota Camry has smoke coming from the exhaust upon initial start after a 12-24 hour period. It's a grey smoke. Otherwise the car runs fine. I resently had the PURGE VALVE replaced. The exhaust was smoking prior to the replacement.

Hi JCREAVES,

The engine should be consuming some engine oil and I would say the smoke is due to the valve seals.

You need to replace them to reduce the smoke.
