Recently had timing chain repaired on my 2002 Toyota Camry and 5 days later had engine failure need to replace the engine. Is there a correction between the two?

You have no timing chain. You have timing belt. That motor is not an interference motor. Even if the timing belt broke the valves would not hit the pistons. How do you know the engine failed?

I apologize, I thought I read 2001 not 2002.

Why did you have the chain replaced in the first place?

Do yo u remember what the code was? That would be a huge help to see if the chain had to be replaced in the first place.
