I was driving 50 miles on Highway and noticed a wire burning smell. The next day morning, after driving 5 miles I saw white smoke coming from the hood. My car care center person told me that the transmission fluid was leaking badly. I took my car to a transmission agent and had a test drive in the local roads 2 miles. There was no smoke, no burning smell, no transmission leak and the engine temperature was normal. But, the transmission agent told me that it would have leaked if I had taken a drive on the highway and showed some signs of leak that could have happened in the past. He said that it is necessary to have the transmission rebuilt. Can you please help me?
