2001 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Automatic 125050 miles

Hi.
I am using this service for the first time. I saw my mechanic today and he told me my car has an emissions problem -an evaporator leak. Is this a common problem with this make/model/year? Is it expensive to fix? Is it a P0440 problem?
Thanks.

Below is what shows for P0440 . The Trouble code, trouble area and possible causes. So, start with buying a new gas cap. Erase the code by removing the battery cable of the battery for 2 minutes and install it back. After driving around 30 miles and the check engine light does not come back on, you solved your problem. If the check engine light comes back ON, then there is another problem. The only expensive part that I know is the Charcoal canister assembly which is $275. Not including labor.
