Hello,
This sounds like you could have an issue with the Mass Air Flow Sensor. It could also be due to a faulty idle air control valve.
A dirty or a faulty mass air flow sensor can trigger an issue with the engine idle. Over time air particles will stick to sensor and that will impact the effectiveness of the sensor.
You can service the sensor by cleaning it.

Another possibility is a faulty Idle air control valve. The idle air control valve, just like the mass air flow sensor, can have internal build up of particles. This will restrict air flow thru the valve and make it difficult for the engine to idle.
This can be cleaned as well.
