Electrical problem
2000 Toyota Camry V8 Automatic 89000 miles

I have a rear brake light out and when I put a new bulb in, it will short out. There is condensation back there so something is going on. I do have an indicator light on showing me there is an issue. Any idea of what is happening as I am trying to get an idea of the cost.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi deroche1,

How long will the bulb last?
If water is leaking into the taillight, the bulbs would not last. If it is not lighting up, it could be due to rusting of the socket resulting in poor contact.

You need to clean/replace the bulb sockets to get better contact for the bulbs.
