MAF sensor location

mass airflow meter is located on left side of engine compartment, part of air intake assembly. Here is a guide to help you see how to clean it and the location in the diagrams below:

The four and six cylinders have it in the same place, BTW. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Once spraying the stuff in the airflow sensor still attached to the airflow meter as we do not know how to take it out. If you could tell us that it would be great. The car will not stay started. It starts and shuts off a real short time after. Any idea's?

What "stuff" are you spraying?
Why do you thing the Air Flow sensor is the problem in the first place?

It was a cleaner that was made for cleaning this sort of thing. I will get the name of it when I can. Also, the reason we did this was that the diagnostics machine came up with this as being an issue. The car was running really sick it would go well then play up. We had the spark plugs changed, fuel filter changed dizzy cap and the rotor button has also been replaced. Trying to find the problem that causes the car to run really rough at times.

What was the exact code number being set?

There were two codes 14 and 24 the airflow sensor and the ECU. Then he reset it and none of them came up.

I just noticed too that I wrote 270 miles should have written 270,000.

I do not know what those numbers are but they are not OBD2 codes and I see no flash codes available for that car. They need to be 5 digit, starting with a "P".
