2.2 liter engine toyota camry 4 cylinder,1999, is it an interface engine.I ment if the timing belt brakes does the piston touch the valve and damage the motor.
what is the indication to change the timing belt.
does 1999 camry 4cylinder have an abs as my vehicle doesnot have but I see open holes under the hood near the headlight assembly pasanger side.
My braking is bad I changed the disk, pad, balanced the wheel even then I have vibration when braking on high speed.

This is not an interference engine so if the timing belt breaks, it should not damage the valves.

Follow the mileage for recommended replacement or have a visual inspection of the belt. There are no other indications available.

Not all models are equipped with ABS, it would depend on the trim level.

Vibration during braking indicates brake rotor faults.
