1998 Toyota Camry trouble shoot

Car gets hot and fan does not come on. Lower hose stays cool while upper hose gets hot.

Your coolant flow comes out of the engine through the upper hose, into the radiator. The lower hose is cooler because the radiator has done its job...nothing wrong here.

You need to test your relays/fuses and also inspect wiring to cooling fan. Cooling fan relays are located under hood (pictured below).
