I have a 1998 Toyota Camry that has sticky steering. It seems a little hard when turning the steering wheel at first...then it becomes easy again...and when you turn it more, it becomes hard to turn again. It never return to center after making a turn. I had the Steering rack replaced at a cost of $560.00 and the problem is still there. It seems intermitten - happens for a while then gets a bit better then gets worse again. Any ideas??

Hi there,

This sounds as if you may have a seized lower ball joint or a problem with a top strut bearing plate, have there inspected first.
