1998 Toyota Camry oil light

my 1998 toyota camry oil light came on and it was low on oil. I put 3 q in engine and check dip stick which seems to read ok but my oil light is still on it did go off for a short time 15 min. but now stays on. engine runs find thank you for your time

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge if normal replace the oil pressure switch abnormal c ould mean oil pump and engine bearings
