I had my car tuned up, and was told excessive rroad noise was from worn tires. replaced the tires, but still getting horrible noise, and it is getting worse. The noise level seems to adjust to certain speeds but is at it's worst between 55 & 60 mph, when it is unbarable and is even louder in the back seat. There is no exhaust smell inside tha car, but the floorboards do heat up quite a bit, and the car doesn't seem to be any louder when heard from the outside (as it is driving up the road). Any suggestions, and how much should I expect to pay for repair for the problem? Even a basic "guesstimate" would be helpful. Thank you.
