What will happen if my vehicle has no strut bump stops? Are they necessary?

Hi there,

thank you for the donation,

The bump stops cushion out excessive suspension movement, if the suspension hit full travel it will strike the bump stop and this will ease any shock loading and noise, with out them, you would get some noise and a bit more noise and a harder bottom out knock, under normal driving conditions you normally never reach this point in suspension travel.
