1998 Toyota Camry brake lights out

Brakes problem
1998 Toyota Camry 4 cyl 144k p miles

when I start my car and put in gear there's a dummy light on the dash indicating a brake light malfunction and sure enough I have no brake lights. I check the fuse it's okay try to check for brake light actuator but located none. The bulbs are good. Can you help?

Hi there,

The brake light switch is mounted on the pedal arm under the dash.
