my car just shut of on me and i checked the oil and it was dry but i had no noises no knocking and now it wont turn over all the lights come on. could my engine lock up without any symptons before hand?

Hi there,

You would normally expect some noise associated with the low oil, remove the spark plugs and try turning the engine with the front crankshaft bolt, if it wont turn the motor will be seized.
