I have a 97 Camry that leaks oil from the oil pump, its hard to tell exactly where without removing the timing cover. The camry oil pump is in two parts, a driven rotor and cover assy, and the housing that bolts to the block. It would be much easier to just replace the driven portion of the oil pump rather than the whole unit. In view of how troublesome this car has been overall, it seems like this must be a common problem. Does anyone have any experience with this problem and whether this is likely to solve the problem?
Thanks
