1996 Toyota Camry Fuel Gauge not working

I have a '96 camry. For some reason my fuel gauge is not working, all the other gauges are working except that one. The car sat for about a year and I just recently put her back on the road. What can I do to fix this problem?

Could be the fuel sending unit in the fuel tank or the brown wire is open/shorted from the gauge to the tank-could be the gauge itself
