I was able to take out the right side axle, but I'm having some problems taking the left side out (driver side) I know that I need to remove the retaining ring, but how do I get to it?

Hi gauchito,

You won't be able to get to the retaining ring without stripping the trans.

Toyota driveshafts tends to be quite tight so you need 2 bars or large screwdrivers to pry it off from both sides evenly.
