Me and my dad just replaced the timming belt and water pump on my 94 Toyota camry V6 with 250,000 miles and now the oil light is on I checked the oil and it was fine after a short test drive I noticed that engine started to knock a little bit. So we took off the oil filter and turned on the car and oil was coming out. The car has been sitting for a few months because the water pump was stock and overheating. Is there something that we did wrong or is it something else?

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge oil pump could be gone or there's a blockage
