Leaks oil ONLY when in neutral: was told it might be the rear main seal, but I have my $1200.00 doubts  Any one know for sure what the problem is?: thanks

It appears to be right under the manifold: I had the valve-cover gasket replaced, but have some doubts on the gasket being seated correctly. It is also getting on the catalytic coverter cover and the oil is burning on it. I have had all the gaskets replaced (except the rear main seal). But am still not sure, could it be residual: meaning from the past oil leaks, and if it is, how long does it take realistically for the oil to burn away? Thanks for your help.
