I am told that my Toyota needs new struts. The ride is currently terrible with a loud noise in the rear. I believe struts are like shocks but don't know much more. Can some one please advise if there are other questions I need to ask the shop? What other types of repair might come along with this, if any? And how much I might expect to pay for the struts and to have the work done? Thanks VERY much

Ok you need to not only have the struts checked but have them check the strut mounts. These can not be checked very well in the vehicle but should be planned on due to the mileage on the car. After struts are replaced you should have it aligned too. Hope this helps. Thanks

I like KYB they are not the cheapest but they are very good. Gabrial and Monroe's are good too. As for cost about $195 in labor and the parts should be about $112 each for the struts and $50 for the mounts each. Hope this helps. Thanks again.
