I bought a new distributor and am ready to install it but was wondering about that thing called an igniter. It's like a little computer and how can I be sure it's not causing the no fire. I have power to the coil brcause it lights up a test lamp. On another question the tech told me to go ahead and replace the distrbutor.

so is power to coil primary good?
No check engine light is on.
