Hello, I jus bought an 93 toyota camry @174000 miles and when I test drove it, it was fine the car did shake a lil bit but nothing that worried me. But now when I start it up and I go to accelarate it won't go. The gas pedal would be all the way to the floor and it will move like its n neutral. After I do a couple turns and pump the gas pedal it'll go. It also do an boosting jerk when I'm trying to accelarate more. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Hi there,

Check the transmission oil level and condition, is it red or a dirty brown colour and smells burnt, do you have reverse gear?

If you still have reverse gear and you can drive in reverse and not drive forward, the problem will be an internal fault with in the transmission, this will have to be checked by a transmission specialist first hand to locate the exact cause of this problem.
