where is the speed sensor located on the toyota camry? is it on the transmission or the engine and where exactly?

speed sensor #1 (Receiver- Speedometer) is located inside of the speedometer assembly.

speed sensor #1 (sending unit portion) is located on the right side of transaxle case, near right axle shaft inner joint.

speed sensor #2 is on right side of transaxle case.
