Hello, i'm having a problem with my Camry. It is a 1990 V6 auto and will not start. When i turn the key, i have absolutely no response nor power. The headlights and inside door lights work but that's about it. When i turn the key there is nothing that comes up on the dash and it won't even attempt to crank over.
This problem occured after i had to tighten up a nut on the alternator. On the top of the alternator there is a small bolt sticking up in which there is a nut on the bottom then a wire with an O ring type of end that goes onto that and then another nut goes on top of that. That nut is what i was tightening. Anyways, as i was tightening it i got sparked because like an idiot i forgot to disconnect the battery. Do you think that that spark may have shorted something? I've checked all the fuses and they seem to be okay. Someone mentioned to me that perhaps the "fuse link wire" got fried and that the ignition may be on that circuit, but i'm not quite sure what that all means. Thanks for your help!
