My light out warning light keeps coming on?

My warning light keeps coming on. To warn me theres a light out. But theres no lights out. I notice it only comes on when I step on brake pedel. Restart the motor it goes out, comes back on hit brake pedel. Some times it go off for a few weeks then come back on.

More than likely you have an issue with the light failure sensor.

I am attaching the wiring diagram below that will help with this, but we need to check the voltage on each of the wiring coming out of it.

Basically, on pin 3 you should have no voltage and if you do then more than likely the resistor inside the unit has failed and it needs to be replaced.

Hi,

I just went through two manuals and neither shows the location. So, from memory, if you open the trunk, it should be behind the left side insulator. It will be a yellow box approx. 3"x3".

I attached a pic below of what you are looking for. Let me know if this helps.
