Several times and at multiple locations in both Virginia
and Pennsylvania I have experienced gas spillage when
I fill the tank full. This does not occur if I fill to 9/10's
of a tank. It is consistent. Would this be most likely
be due to a leak from the fuel pump seal ( the fuel
pump was replaced 10 years ago) or a defect in the
filler pipe? GAS TANK PROBLEM. It's not a problem
if I do not fill the tank full. This has occurred at
a number of different gas stations and has not happened
before. I have owned the car since 1988.
