I cleaned oil off my engine at a car wash with engine degreaser and water. Now my engine runs rough and won't stay running when I take off. Should I remove distributor cap and dry it off? Also, is there something I should be applying to the cap and/or any other areas of the engine?

Hi Jill Bullock,

Yes, you should get the cap off to dry out the interior of the cap and also the spark plug wires. There is nothing that you need to apply to engine comonents.
