1988 Toyota Camry Brake Lights

My brake lights weren't working so I replaced the bulbs and check the fuse. All was good but they still don't work. I read on the internet about a brake light switch. What could be the problem? How do I find the brake light switch(if exsist)

check brake light switch
its located on top of the brake paddle
check for broken wire and check and or replace the switch
