Hi, I cannot get my hood open. The wire inside the interior latch has come off the plastic handle. The wire is intact and still slides inside the wire's casing. The latch is not broken, and I can still fit the latch into the handle. My problem is that my hood prop rod is most likely hindering the opening of the hood and I need to pull really hard on the plastic latch to open the hood. Unfortunately, if I pull too hard, I will probably break the plastic latch.

My question: How can I open the hood by pulling on the inside of the hood latch cable? Should I use a pair of vice grips and just pull the stink out of it, or is there another way to open the hood?

First of all thank you very much for your donation. The best way to open it would be to lock on a pair of vise grip's and pull the cable to open it.
