Hello everyone, my Toyota Belta's (not Yaris) parking lights and dashboard lights are not working. Can someone assist me please? All the fuses are fine. It does not light at all at the back at night. I do not know what could be the problem.

Hello and welcome to 2CarPros.

The parking lights and dash lamps are both powered from the same source. The idea being that if they both fail together you will notice it because of the lack of dash lamps and get it repaired. Be it the fuse or more commonly the multifunction switch.
There should be a couple fuses for the tail lights as well as a relay if they used the same harness as the Yaris which was the export name for your car. I would start with a test light and test the fuses to be sure there is actually power at them.

Testing the switch is a bit harder. Without a known true wiring diagram you nned to trace the power into the switch, then turn it to the park position and verify that power comes out of the switch for the lights.

Hello Danny!I very much know its an old question I have attached to, but am facing exactly the same problem, see even the pic prestos attached, my Belta is showing the same. Located the fuses on the passengers side, all seem okay. Checked the fuses on the fuse box engine, all are okay, does the park light and dash light have the same relay, if that's the case, which relay is it and if its the contacts in the switch. How do I clean them (assist with a procedure of doing it). Waiting to hear your detailed response to resolve this problem. Thank you

Hello again.

You say all the fuses are good. Yes, next would check the relay. I've attached a picture below of the relay location and circled in red. Here is a tutorial showing how to test a relay.

After that I would suggest to test the wiring and and the switch that my co-worker Steve suggested in the initial question. I would start with a test light and test the fuses to be sure there is actually power at them.

Testing the switch is a bit harder. Without a known true wiring diagram you need to trace the power into the switch, then turn it to the park position and verify that power comes out of the switch for the lights.Hope this all helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
