Engline oil leak and engine light on.

toyota avalon 99 , 165000 miles.
I change my car oil at walmart but that day they informed me about the oil leak and wouldn't change the oil. I have not taken it to any mechanic shop yet. I still have 1000 miles till next scheduled oil change sticker. Also the engine light is on. The car shakes while on road and makes weird noises. I just wanna be prepared to ask the right questions to the mechanic i visit so i dont get ripped off. Is it true i might end up paying over $1000 for fixing the engine oil leak? please help..

It may be
And also it could be $50 u don’t know until checking it out
Running rough (is it tune up time)
Check engine oil daily you don’t wants a sized engine on the side off the road
Sticker on the window not going to help if engine run out of oil
Get codes for check engine as it may help pin point the trouble area s
