2006 Toyota Avalon Wrong fluid used in filling up

Unaware that the cannister she want to fill-up was the windshield wiper one, my wife place the windshield fluid in the coolant canister. Can that hurt the engine. The car was started and use after that and probably half of the the WWF tank was consume. What should I do?

Hi there,

The washer fluid is only a mild detergent, depending on the quantity added it might up set the Ph balance, so i feel that just to be safe, get the cooling system flushed, if this has not been done foe a while it is an opportune time to service the cooling system.
