2004 Toyota Avalon Is it the computer?

One seat heater is inoperable and and the temperature guage cannot be changed. It is stuck on HOT.

yes the heaters control unit needs replacement, try undoing the negative battery cable, leave it off for about ten menutes, maybe that will reset it , if it is computerized. if not, the control unit is faulty
