I want to disconnect the Battery to give the
terminals a good cleaning (Baking soda/Water)
and to place corrosion preventive felts under
the terminals.

How much time, I have to get it cleaned and
reconnected before the system goe's out of
whack??..

Hi there,

if you want to safe all the memory's radio clock etc, you can get a lead that plugs into the cig lighter that takes a 9V battery leave the car on ACC and this will keep the memory alive. Check this out.
