with engine running, or not. when i turn on the lights it produces a loud humming noise thru the stereo. stereo is original equipment.

Hi there, OK, thanks for that, this can often be a bad earth problem battery, chassis, antenna all can cause this especially with the engine off, have you had any electrical work done recently?
