1998 Toyota Avalon V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Do the headlights grow dim after a car gets old? I have holigen bulbs but driving at night they do not seem to be bright enough and I want to know if I should have them changed.

That could be an electrical fault. Look at your headlight covers and if they are yellow or foggy you can replace them or go and get them cleaned. Average price for a cleaning is around $50-100. Replacing them should be a little bit more expensive than cleaning them.
