1997 Toyota Avalon Hot Engine, Boiling Coolant

I recently replaced the thermostat and thermostat housing and also flushed and replaced the coolant. My coolant continues to boil over, even on short trips, and the temperature gauge reads hotter than hot. What might be my problem?

Try bleeding the cooling system could be air lock. If not get it block and pressure tested
