I was attempting to change the fuel filter in my car last week. Everything was going good until I tried to get the fuel filter inlet fitting off the bottom of the fuel filter. I twisted the wrong wrench fitting and ended up braking off the the fuel filter inlet fitting and about 1 inch of pipe underneath that. the thread is still stuck in the bottom of the fuel filter and I can't get it out because of rusting. Can this be repaired with a repair kit or do I have to take it to a shop and have them repair the whole fuel line?

They make repair line ends that you can use compression fittings to attach to it. Check your local parts store and bring in the new filter to match up the correct line. These fuel filters are the toughest ones to change so dont get frustrated. I dread them.
