1995 Toyota Avalon battery connection

connection from cable to terminal is loose. have tried to tighten. mech. @ toyota years ago said would have to run entirely new cable. is there some sort of material I could wrap around post or a spacer to make post larger so connection is tighter?

Why not use a copper wire wrap it around the battery post it works all the time for me
