1999 Toyota 4 Runner 4WD Automatic 99,000 miles - already got the 90,000 revision + new belts including timing belt - making faint rubbing and or straining noise when accelerating in a hill. Noise is also noticeable in both front wheels area when turning right on hill between 15 - 25 mph. Took car to the shop, noise could not be diagnosed to make repair. Mechanic suggest to let noise become louder to get a diagnosis.
Differential, steering, gear trouble? What do you think the noise is? Is there a way to prevent high cost repair by taking care of the noise?
Thank you kindly,
Sugata
