Driving on freeway. Object flew at car, looked like big piece of cardboard but went (luckily) underneath with a thud, a bump and left. Rest of drive (2 hrs freeway) seemed OK.

Once home, looked under car and inside entire front left wheel well is covered with a black fluid. Looked gritty, but felt smooth - no strong odor.

Brake, power steering, oil and other fluid levels seem fine. Car seems to be operating fine.

Did something get nicked? Shocks maybe?

Going to mechanic Tues AM and hope to be prepared.
