2000 Toyota 4Runner Four Wheel Drive Automatic 238,00 miles

My ignition key is so worn that it can not be copied. It barely works the ignition taking constant coaxing. I am afraid that it will leave me stranded.

Can i order a new cut key using the car VIN number? I am afraid of the dealers price. Is there an outside source?

I would try the dealer cutting a new key would be cheaper then redoing the lock's.
