Engine Mechanical problem
1999 Toyota 4Runner 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 130k miles

Had the oil changed.Drove 80 miles on the freeway and after sitting for about a half hour started the motor.BIG cloud of blue smoke. It cleared up in about a minute.Took it back to the shop and had them check it.I was told that his guy had overfilled the oil(I don't know by how much)They drained some out and sent me on my way.It does not smoke around town,But EVERY time I run it on the freeway for more than 20 miles or so it blowes a cloud upon restart after sitting for a time.I have replaced the PVC valve ,it made no difference.Oil consumption has gone up to about 2 Qts per 1k.There are no oil leeks. No one has been able to figure out what the cause is.The vech. did not do this before that oil change.Out of my frustration I must ask WHAT the H is going on.I hope someone can shed some light on this as I would like to be able to have some info when I go back to the shop and ask them to correct the situation.

Have the original shop perform a leakdown test, but is sounds like the valve stem seals are leaking.
