Does this vehicle have a timing belt or a chain? The toyota dealer always said it had a chain, but my current mechanic tells me it is a belt that i should change.

Hi luisrf,

It depends on which engine you have in your vehicle.

2.4 and 2.7 L uses timing chain.
3.4 L uses timing belt.
