my starter run WILD last night, and emits some smoke (probably it is running a bit longer before i checked). what could have cause the starter to run?.. note: I repaired the solenoid weeks ago and its functioning fine...until last night..my starter runs by itself...thnks for any info with this problem & more power

you may ahve a faulty ignition switch .. the contact's may be sticking keeping power going to the starter ??
