1995 Toyota 4Runner Four Wheel Drive Manual
----------------------------------------------------------------
we have a 95 4runner, not sure of the miles but we were driving and my boyfriend went to shift from 1st to 2nd... we heard something snap kinda, its like somehting isnt connecting with the gears. it only drivess in 4wheel drive and we thought thats olny becasue only the front wheels will turn. his dad said we need a new "rear end" most likely what does that mean and how much will it cost? or what else could it be? there also sounds like there is no fluid either, completly dry

first thing before replacing that would be to jack the entire vehicle up and start it, put it in gear and see if the rear wheels turn.
