Our 1995 toyota 4runner has been leaking water since we purchased it used about a month ago. it was a slow leak, and we would put water in the radiator and it would be fine.
The other day, we put water in the radiator and by the time we got a couple blocks away, the car was overheating and had NO water left. we looked, and there is not water coming out of any hoses or the actual radiator itself, but out of a small cylindrical protrusion that has a drinking straw-sized hole in the middle. it's located on the engine block, just BELOW the main radiator hose connection. we don't know whether this is a drain plug that was lost, or whether something should be connected to it. what is this part, and what can we do to fix it ?
